About Us
Our Story
Mama’s and Papa’s for Community Reform is a civil organization with registration number 00NGO/000931 MAMAS & PAPAS FOR COMMUNITY REFORM and carry out its work at the national level. Its headquarters is in Kiselegoko village, Mkuranga district and one of its branches is in Kigamboni district, Dar Es Salaam region.
It has been the philosophy of MPFCR to identify and reaching key vulnerable population, empower them, educate them on risk behaviors (alcoholism, drug abuse, sexual activities), and having a unique understanding of the challenges facing adolescent girls, women, Youth people and communities and how to best mobilize, engage, and motivate to lead changes. It has been successful to meet specific needs of groups including people living with HIV/AIDS, people with Hepatitis B and C, Drug addicts, Female Sex Workers, alcoholism, Tuberculosis (TB), Epidemics example Covid19, and providing education on communicable and non-communicable disease for healthier generation.
MPFCR’S VISION
To have a protected and combated society where youth are free from drug abuse and the addicted ones are treated and helped overcome the situation and treated in good manner.
MPFCR’s MISSION
The organization provide venue to help addicted with drugs to understand different ways of helping themselves as well as to coordinate promotion of the youth programs relating to the youth in the whole country
OBJECTIVES
The objectives of Mamas and Papas For Community Reform are as follows:
To raise awareness to youth regarding the drugs abuse in the society and at large.
To influence and support youth in establishing self-income generating activity or business for self sustain.
To improve socio-economic condition among the youth as a way to prevent idleness and relapse.
To encourage and promote youth talent to include relaxation programs including sports and other entertainment
To empower community in creating a productive and self sustaining youth population, capable for protecting themselves and their communities against Drugs abuse, HIV/AIDS, Malaria and others STDS.
To mobilize youth to participate in environmental and natural resources management.
